Full Season Calendar Stripped down: The DTM

The German marque was there for the grand launch of the German-based touring car championship in 1984. In its remarkable 10-year run, the team amassed 49 victories, 185 podium finishes and three drivers’ titles – quite a haul. In 2012 BMW returns to the championship with six of its all-new BMW M3 DTM cars, run by three teams.

Team Schnitzer has a fantastic DTM record, winning its first assault on the championship with Roberto Ravaglia in 1989.

Team RBM is a formidable force in the world of touring cars. The Belgian squad won the European Touring Car Championship title with Andy Priaulx in 2004 and racked up three consecutive World Touring Car Championships with the British ace in 2005, 2006 and 2007.

Team RMG is a newcomer to the world of DTM, but will be competitive from the off. The team boasts an incredibly diverse skill-set, with members from all areas of motorsport, including GT racing, DTM, the World Rally Championship and even Formula 1.
