The 2012 Škoda IRC Team
Škoda has amazing heritage in motorsport, stretching all the way back to one of the first cross-Europe endurance road races. In the 111 years since, it has remained a motorsports mainstay in a wealth of touring car and rally events.
In 2007 Czech marque poured all its resources and racing expertise into developing the production car-based Skoda Fabia Super 2000. In 2009 the car was finally ready to attack the world’s rally stages in the new Intercontinental Rally Challenge and made its debut at the famous Monte Carlo rally.

Škoda shocked everyone in its debut IRC season, clinching a number of victories and taking second in both the drivers’ and manufacturers’ standings. With plenty of momentum behind it, the team went on to dominate the IRC in 2010 and 2011, taking the drivers’ and manufacturers’ titles in both years. Škoda will be keen to keep up this high level of performance in the years to come.
